Yes, I think those are Anglo-Saxon for: “Just club him over the head and be done with it” (common sense) and “What? I didn’t hear you?” (Civil discourse). Ah! Those ancient societies are full of inspiration. ;-)

“Consensus” is Old French. Blast if I know what that one means.
They still seem like they're all Greek to much of our country - but hopefully that will eventually change in a positive direction
